The 2023 fall musical has been cast! Kutztown Area School District All Schools Musical will proudly present "Hello, Dolly" in November. Tickets go on sale in November.  Follow us on Facebook (Kutztown Musical & Theater Programs) for updates!

KASD has a long history of challenging and outstanding musical productions. We have had Egypt come to our auditorium with Aida; we have brought Broadway to our auditorium with 42nd Street, Crazy for You, Hello, Dolly, and West Side Story; we have had snow in our auditorium with White Christmas and rain with Singin' in the Rain; the hills came alive with The Sound of Music (1976 and 2014), and drama and humor with Fiddler on the Roof.  The 2015-2016 production was the 10th anniversary of Beauty and the Beast (2005 and 2015 on the KASD stage) with the hideous Beast, Enchanted Objects, beautiful Belle, and the "Tale as Old as Time...".  

Dreams also do come true on the KASD stage, as the musical department presented Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1988 and 2016) and Once Upon a Mattress (1985 and 2017).  Annie visited our stage, letting us all know the inspiring message of hope and optimism.  Matilda the Musical, the Tony award winning musical which features fast-paced dance numbers with the compelling story of an extraordinary little girl armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind who takes a stand and changes her own destiny.  In 2022, Shrek the Musical had outstanding performances.  The Ogre came to our town!

During Covid-19 times, the KASD Theatre department premiered its first virtual musical! Students showcased their musical talents by performing some of the most iconic songs in the Broadway canon. The kids rehearsed and recorded everything from the comfort of their homes.
