Attendance Procedures

This year, we will be introducing a new attendance protocol through the OnTime system. Upon entering the school building, students will use their Student ID to check in at designated iPads throughout the building. Students must scan in by 7:45 AM on regular school days. Students are still required to be present in their Homeroom by 7:45 AM for morning announcements. If a child is absent, parents/ guardians will be notified via text of their child’s absence at 9:30 AM and will have the ability to excuse the absence digitally. For students with a scheduled late start (BCTC, Internship, College Study, etc.), an absence notification will not be issued until 12:30 PM. Parents are permitted, per state attendance regulation, to give 10 excusals per school year. Written excuses will still be accepted by the high school office within 3 school days of the absence. For a medical excusal, vacation, college visit, etc., please continue to submit the proper paperwork to the high school office. For more information on school attendance, please visit the high school website or call the high school office at 610-683-7346.

BCTC Students

This is a reminder that BCTC East and West are open on Monday, August 25. The buses will depart from the high school at 7:40 am. Students choosing to attend will need to provide transportation to KAHS and home. Traditional bus transportation starts on Tuesday.
